1981 Vespa P Series $1,600 in Nashville, Tennessee

Not sure if this is a P200 or some other P series but for $1,600 who can complain? Looks a little rough but it's hard to tell from the photo. If you're looking for a daily rider that you can beat up this is it. Here's the link http://nashville.craigslist.org/mcy/1482056070.html and the one photo they have posted

1974 Vespa 90 for $900 and a 1964 Lambretta Cento for $1,200 in Kansas City

I found this on craigslist and it would make a good project in my opinion so if you're looking for a nice winter smallframe project here it is http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/1476295971.html I'd probably be interested if it was closer. Engine side door is missing in the photo but the ad says he has it. Here's the photos of it.

This same person also has a 1964 Lambretta Cento for sale for $1,200 on craigslist. Looks to be in great condition. Says it needs new cables, carb re-build, and seals and gaskets. Sounds like a good solid project. Anyways, here's the link http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/1471740951.html and the photos.

1974 Vespa Super with Sidecar coming up for auction December 6th

This one will probably go for more than it's worth but it might not. I have requested more photos and the Vin number from the auctioneer so as soon as those are emailed to me I'll post them here. It looks like an amateur restoration but I'd like more photos to make sure it's not a Viet-bodge. The auction is in Gulf Breeze, Florida on December 5th and 6th. You can check out their website at http://www.kruse.com/auctions/detail.asp?CONSIGN=5020&MAKE=Vespa&AUC_CODE=FLASH09&AUC_BREAD=Flash%20Gordon%20Collectible%20Auction%202009&SEARCH_NAME=Vespa&PAGE=1 to check out the details.

1966 Vespa Sears Blue Badge 125cc in Madison, Wisconsin for $1,200

1966 Vespa Sears Blue Badge 125cc in Madison, Wisconsin for $1,200 Not too bad of a price but not a great deal or anything. Looks like it's pretty straight but I could be wrong. In one picture it looks like the leg shield is bent up on one side. Check out the ad and you'll see what I mean.

1964 Sprint for $1,500 in Illinois

Okay I found this on Galesburg, Illinois craigslist. It was posted October 29th, 2009 so I'll go ahead and post his listing since I'm sure it will expire soon. Looks to be an old Sprint. The price is pretty reasonable in my opinion at $1,500 Anyways, here's the link. http://quadcities.craigslist.org/cto/1443382733.html

This is an original 1964 Vespa Motorcycle/Motorscooter. It is driveable and would be worth double or triple the asking price if restored. Entire bike is complete except for the headlight lens and taillight lens. There are 2229 ORIGINAL MILES. Let me know if you are interested or have questions. Thanks! Ed Morris

A few smallies on craigslist.

Well I was trolling around on craigslist as usual and ran across this http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1459714874.html in Columbus, Ohio. Not the best price at $1,200 but still a pretty good looking 1979 Vespa 50 special.

Then I found this 1975 Vespa Primavera 125cc for $1,300 in Nashville, TN here http://nashville.craigslist.org/mcy/1422944832.html which I think is a prettty fair price.

1959 Jawa Cezeta?

Here's the 1959 Jawa Cezeta? I picked up for a friend from the same place I got the Rally 200 in my earlier posting. It's a little rusty but I think it could end up being pretty cool. The original owner brought it to Ohio from Puerto Rico where he was in the military back in the 60's.

A couple Vespas near Boston

During my constant search for vintage Vespas I ran across this. I would be there for sure if it was closer. This is an auction being held in Bridgewater, MA on Saturday November 21st at 11:00 a.m. Looks like a Vespa 50 smallframe scooter, and a GS 160. Might be some other good buys there too. Anyways, here's the link to their site and a few photos I scrounged up.http://www.jwoodandcompany.com/2009/bettencourt_collection/Bettencourt.htm

Quest for the Rally 200 for $100

Okay, so this is in my opinion a pretty good story i thought I'd share. 3 weeks ago A friend of mine was looking for a Rally 200 and I happened to find one that was in near mint condition. A 1974 Rally 200. It was in completely original condition with no rust and some cool period accessories. It was coming up for auction nearby so I decided to make the 2 hour drive out to the sticks for a friend. I got to the auction and was not disapointed it looked just as good in person as it did in the pictures. I arrived about an hour early and boy was I glad I did! As I was checking out the scooter and dissuading the locals from bidding on it an older gentleman struck up a conversation with me. He said, "I got one of those in my garage, Rally 200, yup that's what it says on the back." I without trying to sound too excited asked him if it was for sale? He said, Yeah, I'll take a hundred bucks for it." I promptly got his phone number and told him I'd call him as soon as the auction was over. He said he'd be at home all day and he only lived a few blocks away! About 3 hours later they got to auctioning the Rally 200. I went up to $1000 but it ended up selling for $1,350 when it was all said and done. I immediately called John and went to check out his Rally 200. I got there and he opened his garage and there it was! It wasn't as nice but for $100 who could complain? It was even the same year as the one for auction a 1974 Rally 200 and all there except for the engine shroud, a few turn signals! On top of that he had a 1959 Jawa Cezeta which I picked up for a friend last week. But no it doesn't end there! He also had a nice running but rough looking Vespa Sprint, A Lambretta Cento that was in excellent condition, and also a Vespa 90 that I will be picking up soon. Later that day Scooter Source near Dayton, Ohio was having a grand re-opening event at their new location. As I pulled in with my Rally 200 in the back of my van I see a truck with the Rally 200 in the back that was up for auction earlier in the day. Pretty cool, huh? Here's some photos of the Rally that sold at auction and the Rally I picked up and sold to my pal. Even though I really wanted to keep it for myself I told him I'd get him a Rally and even though it wasn't the one he thought it was gonna be I still think he was happy.

1974 Vespa Super bought for $500

I picked this up in Greenfield, Ohio for $500 in a private museum. This guy had an ad on craigslist advertising a few cushmans for sale so I called and asked if he had any Vespas. He said yes but he wasn't sure how many. My buddy Bob and I decided to drive up and see what he had. It was about an hour and 45 minute drive from Cincinnati. Bob drove me up in his truck. It was a great day for some Vespa hunting. We pulled up to a store front in a one block town and sitting in-between a carpet store and a Chinese restaraunt was what looked to be a small empty store front with the shades drawn. We were wrong. This guy had a collection of probably 30 or so old cars that were perfectly restored. Turns out he had some scooters too. We found he had a Sprint in pretty rough condition, a 1974 Vespa Super, a Ducati Brio that I almost bought but passed on to a friend. He also had 2 or 3 of those Puch-Daimler Allstate scooters. The 1974 Vespa Super which was pretty much perfect except for the seized motor. It was complete except for a turn signal and only had minor surface rust. It was exactly what I was looking for and I figured with a little work I could probably get it running. Well I kept spraying PB Blaster in the jug and tapping on it for a few weeks but I couldn't get the damn thing unstuck so I eventually sold it about 3 weeks ago to a Vespa mechanic in Columbus, Ohio. I kind of regret selling it but I'll find one better soon.

1979 Vespa Sport 100 bought for $100

I found this little small frame in a barn in Indiana, well my aunt did and gave me a call. It is a 1979 Vespa Sport 100 and I paid $100 for it. It was complete except for the engine side door and a few other bits and pieces. It had compression and was a nice little project.

1980 Bajaj Chetak bought for $250

After searching for a project scooter on craigslist I found a 1980 Bajaj Chetak that I bought off a guy in Harrison, Ohio for $250 The motor had no compression and it was missing the stator but other than that not a bad buy in my opinion. This guy also had a P200 in his shed but sadly I didn't have enough money to buy it. Someone else local bought it and turned it into a very nice scoot.
